I don't think I've ever read something like this before and I have to tell you that I just really adore it. I know that I'm going to have to go back through it because there were times when I felt like I was caught in a storm of words and I just couldn't quite see through them, but that makes me look forward to the re-read all the more.

This bit in particular got me:

He came here tonight hoping to find squints, planting cheese in a trap. One phone call later, some flimsy bait, and there'd she be. The gang back together.

Fighting the urge to scoot closer;
the face of a nervous schoolboy.
He is homesick for her.

Tracing her face with his mind,
his fingers know the perfect place to rest.

And Cam and Brennan's friendship was just beautiful.
