I can't help but wonder if Brennan always gets these calls and usually ignores them while working, but was purposely answering in front of Booth so that she could turn them down and have him hear it. Repeatedly. She was rather loud and obvious about it, even though she was supposedly trying to excuse herself and go off to the side with her phone.
