No, I live in Central Europe, and English is not my native language, but I usually don't have a problem with British accents (I'm in Britain quite often, and have never had trouble understanding anyone there so far). Like you said, her accent sounded totally fake to me, although I was quite relieved when I read statements from several native speakers who said they had trouble understanding her too - at least I know that my language skills aren't the issue here ;-)
