I find it much easier to express the feelings of a fictional character

I've found that it can be cathartic as well. If you relate to the character in any way, it can sometimes allow you to deal with certain things through them.

In that vein, I always read your personal posts, and I often feel that I want to say something and end up not doing it because I don't know what and am afraid of saying the wrong thing

Unless it's "You suck. Why don't you stop sucking?", I'm sure whatever you want to say can't be that bad. :) I totally get it though.

Hee, I'm fully in support of heel-digging. That's how I am with cell phones. Again, it's the paradox of "But you talk so much on here!", I know. But for real, I'm such a curmudgeon about people's access to me & my time in real life, and I can't imagine wanting to text people ALLLL DAYYYY. Like, what are you talking about?! Heh.
