Sex and the City is one of those easy-to-enjoy shows that I still love to this day, but just don't talk about very much. I have seasons 3, 4, and 6 on DVD though, and I always get sucked in if I come across it on TV, despite having already seen every episode at least once.
I only got into Psych over the last couple seasons & still haven't seen the first few in their entirety, so we're kinda opposites there. Hee. It sort of fits in the same category for me as Sex and the City, actually. I always know I'll be entertained when I watch. I can just kick back & have a good time.
Friday Night Lights is a quietly entertaining show that sucks you in the more you watch. You have to sort of just ease into its pace & let it sink in. But after having just watched the first season, I can say the direction, cinematography, writing, & acting are all superb in a lovely & subtle way.
Community is AWESOME, dude. If I had to recommend only one show from the above list to you, that'd probably be it. You can pick just about any clip at random & know it's going to be great. Example:
