For those who'd like to do the meme as well, here are the questions:

1) What's your middle name?

2) How old are you?

3) Where are you from? Are you living there right now?

4) Is it cold where you are?

5) What's the time?

6) What are you wearing?

7) What was the last thing you listened to?

8) What was the last thing you ate?

9) What was the last thing you watched on TV?

10) What's your favorite tv show? Why?

11) Quick! Find a book, or something with text on it! Flip to a random page and post the second paragraph's first sentence.

12) What was the last movie you saw? How was it?

13) Do YOU think you have an accent? Where do people in your country speak with strong accents?

ETA: Aha, it was "Dream a Little Dream." If anyone wants to watch it, they can do so here.

Aaand I found the song, too:

For those of you who'd like to check out the documentary I mentioned, here you go:

ETA: I thought I'd found it on YouTube as well, but it's only the first couple minutes (with an option to rent the full movie--I didn't even know you could rent things on YT). Still, if you'd like that link anyway, here it is.

ETA Part Deux: Electric Boogaloo: MY TV IS NOW FIXED. CAN I GET A WHAT-WHAT. HOLLAAA.

Boooooones

Bones reactions ahoy!

(spoilers for the finale, obvs)

P.S. For my Vid of the Day, allow me to show a little love to Julie Goldman (i.e. the Julie I mentioned above):

ETA: Ughhh, the slightly sick feeling I had when I left this voice post? Has now (at five in the morning) turned into a barfatorium/cha cha cha two-for-one-special situation. Aaand my nose is running. I DO NOT APPROVE, IMMUNE SYSTEM. PICK ONE TYPE OF SICKNESS, YOU A-HOLE. YOU CAN'T HAVE YOUR CAKE & EAT IT TOO.

(Psst, [livejournal.com profile] dosidella, if you're reading this: I bet this is due to all that GLUTEN![/loves beating a dead horse])

P.S. For those of you who have never watched My So-Called Life--YouTube saves the day:

(This is of course the pilot episode, btw. There were 19 eps in all)

Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, & Part 5. You can also watch the entire series on Hulu, but only if you're subscribed to Hulu Plus (Jerks. It used to be free for that show) & you're in the U.S.

*edited to add: in addition to my answer above, regarding my biggest West Coast gripe? I actually have a much bigger one, and I can't believe I almost forgot to mention it: drivers here DO NOT pay attention to what they are doing, and they do not respect pedestrians/bicyclists. It's especially strange here in Portland, considering how bike-friendly we are + the excellent standards of our public transportation system. You'd think drivers would get used to people without cars, and yet? No. They are laid-back, in their own world, & dangerous. I was nearly hit two times in the last week alone (the second time was just now, actually, hence the editing! Ha)--at crosswalks while the signs said "walk", mind you. (…yeah) Jen actually DID get hit by a car when she lived here, in that exact same scenario. So, yes, if any of you ever travel out here, do not try to act like they do in New York. You should only jaywalk (if you're smart) in *very specific* cases (downtown Portland is a fairly common place for it, for instance, but the cars will still try to hit you a good deal of the time), and even then you'd better be watchin' your ass. Heh.

. . .I was in such a rush I forgot a question! Haha. "What do you call your grandparents?" I called my maternal grandparents "Nanny" and "Poppy" and my paternal grandparents "Grandma Kitty" (which was ironic since she hated cats & her name was Francis, but it was her nickname since she was thought to be feisty like a cat) and Granddad.

There you go!

Now you guys have to do it too.
