Man, I just went to crank up the heat, because it felt absolutely freezing up in here, and apparently 71 degrees--with a warm turtleneck on--is "freezing." Heh. So I turned it up to 73 degrees. No doubt Joe will have something to say about that, when he gets home. Oh, the wars that have been fought in this house over the temperature!

Still, I am sooooooo cold. Brr. My feet are cold too, even in my nice, new slippers! Hmm, I should put on some socks. There's a thought! Heh.

Feeling better today than yesterday, so that's good. Still kind of worn out and blah, though. Standing up for long periods isn't enjoyable. And every now and then, I still feel that tight pain in the stomach you get during the flu, but I haven't really been very nauseous today. My Mom's making enchiladas tonight too, I know, so I'm glad I might be able to eat them. With hamburger this time, too! Heh. She keeps making it with chicken lately, which is good, but I'm in the mood for hamburger. After sustaining myself on toast and soup the last few days, if my stomach doesn't do anything sneaky, then I'm going to eat like a mother tonight! My own weight in enchiladas! Hee. It helps that I haven't eaten yet, today. There's no bread, and no cereal. And I'm hella tired of chicken noodle soup. And I could eat pop-tarts, but they're just a little too sweet right now. Not sure if my stomach would like it. And that was probably way more info than anyone really wanted, huh? Hmph, too bad.

You know, despite the claims on the box, that this microwavable french toast would be "delicious" and "just like home-cooked", sadly it really isn't. Meh. I overestimated how much I'd eat, too. Always do. My Mom always makes fun of me for it, because I'll pile enough for like a linebacker on my plate, and she'll be all "You know you're only going to eat half of that, Rachael." and I'll be like "Shh!" Hee. I get a little happy satisfaction out of putting lots and lots of food on my plate, regardless of whether I'll eat all of it. I think I must've been a starving child in a past life.

I think by tomorrow, most of the flu should be gone. Hopefully. *crosses fingers* I'm at that stage right now, where my appetite still isn't quite up to par, but my cravings have violently taken over the brain and are all "Donuts, damn you! I want DONUTS!" So I'm like "Someone get me some food, for the love of Christ!" like a starving child, just rescued from a little raft on the ocean. Hee. But then I get the food, and can only eat a bit of it. What a bitch.

I just discovered Christmas cookies in the fridge though (you know, the slice and pop in the oven kind? Perfect for me, since just cutting them up right is enough of an effort for me for one night, thank you); hopefully that'll satisfy the Somalian currently taking hostages in my stomach.

One of the things about me when I get sick, is that I turn into a huge baby. )
