So much of this reads as a poem and it just blew me away. The emotions you devle into for both of them, the fears you so expertly plumb, the yearnings they both have - this is such a gorgeous work on so many levels.
This role reversal of theirs, it is unexpected. She can adjust. Evolution, new paradigms of concept; she is comfortable in this terrain. Booth of yesterday would laugh & accuse her of rationalizing romance. Booth of today isn't here to say one way or the other, so the point is irrelevant.
Perhaps it is for the best.
