rachg821. The first section of my fic finally feels polished & complete, allowing me to move on to the next part. It's at about 1,620 words right now, and I could--if I wanted--probably get away with posting it as its own ficlet. I don't want to though, because I want to cover more stuff, and I'm not a fan of doing things in chapters as a WIP (for my own stories, I mean). But I'm glad to at least feel like I'm making more progress now. This one has really been tedious & slow-going, mostly probably because it's really important to me that I get it right.
2. I had a dream last night that St. Vincent (as in the singer) was my girlfriend. IF ONLY. Of course I was also apparently dating Booth (and there were two of him, might I add. I was only with one, however. The other was douchey. Ha. CLONES TODAY, I tells ya).

me: i watched a couple psych youtube clips today and now i'm jonesing for more. i heart gus.
both of them, really. but gus is just so adorably uptight
akilah: my friend and I have had long talks about which of them we prefer, relationship-wise
she loves, loves Shawn and thinks he would be amazing in bed
(her criteria, not mine)
but I think Shawn would drive me ABSOLUTELY NUTS if he were my boyfriend
like he'd be fun to hang around, but I need a more steady presences like Gus
I mean, yes, we both take things a little too seriously but we know when to loosen up, darnit
me: hee. i'd want shawn as a buddie, but i'd prefer gus for a boyfriend. i kind of want to squish him all the time anyway.
akilah: I just love him with my whole heart
me: and he looks cuddly
like, i bet he sleeps in on saturdays in striped pjs & then gets up & puts on slippers. CUDDLY.
and then would have some serious/longwinded rational reason for why the slippers aren't "cute" but are like ~necessary~
akilah: see, there's your fic

4. I got my ACA book in the mail the other day. See, I knew it wouldn't take 4-6 weeks. Now to start reading it.
5. One of my meetup groups is going to a free classical concert event next week, and I signed up to go. So far there's only one other person going though, heh. But there's another meetup group (for music) that we'll be meeting up with there, so I'm assuming there'll be at least a handful of people attending. Hopefully it's a good performance.
That's pretty much it for now. There's other things I could talk about too, but they're even more boring.

Adelle DeWitt, Starbuck, Lydia on Southland, you get the idea. MANY CHOICES. I would recommend censoring out a few lyrics though, since there's a few lines I think are offensive, but I can't resist the beat), enjoy some dancey dancing:
