For Buffy, I'd choose Welcome to the Hellmouth and Prophecy Girl from season 1, and What's My Line? (Parts I and II) from season 2 (I know, cheating!)
For The Gilmore Girls, I'd choose the Pilot, The Lorelais' First Day at Chilton, and Concert Interruptus.
For Angel, I'd really like choose the Pylea episodes because they're my favourites, but they're not really understandable to someone who doesn't know the characters in their 'normal' mode. So I'd go for season 1's The Ring (cause Angel's all heroic and such), Five by Five and Sanctuary (because I adore Faith).
For BSG, I'd choose 33, Water, and You Can't Go Home Again (I didn't know that there was a miniseries when I rented season 1 from Blockbuster but still found 33 totally gripping; then I got the miniseries after and finally figured out what the hell was happening with Baltar and Six, which had been the most mysterious aspect of 33 for me, LOL).
I've marathoned (is that a word) the first 10 episodes of Ringer this week and you know what? It's classy, it's full of beautiful people, it's got great characters, and pretty amazing actors. So now I'm basically spreading the word - I think it stands a good chance of getting better rather than worse in the future...
