I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to this song without thinking of My So-Called Life. And feeling like a 13 year old again going "squee, Jordan + Angela = 4eva!". Hee. Speaking of that show though, I really need to have a marathon of it again sometime. I think the last time I watched an episode of it was Christmas Eve, when I randomly watched "So-Called Angels." (What, so I like my holidays with a side of weeping, is that so wrong? Seriously though, how much does that episode bring the tears? "A LOT" is the answer. I think my chin starts quivering the minute the credits start.)
P.S. Bonus points go to anyone reading this who recognized my subject heading today from that show. Even more points if you know which episode it's from. And Jen, I already know you'll get it, so you don't count. Ha.
Anyway, I don't really have much point for updating today, but I've made a resolution with myself to try to update again more so there you go. I do have a few things I'll comment on at least.
1. It's been triple-digit temps here pretty much all week. And only finally "cooled down" to the 90s today. Have I mentioned my apartment has no air-conditioning? I think even my shadow is sweating at this point.
2. I took the last two days off work, and came back today to over 60 emails. SIXTY, people. And something like 15 voicemails. This on top of the normal stuff I had to get done for the day anyway. But since I'm so bad-ass, I returned all the voicemails and only had like four emails left when I went home for the day. Mad skills, yo.
3. Not sure if any of you are watching So You Think You Can Dance this season, but I need someone to please explain to me why Evan has not been voted off yet. I mean, no offense Evan, you're fun and I get that you have personality and appeal. I like you. But you are not a good enough dancer to be hanging around this long! Gah. And then I looked on the poll TV Guide had recently and he was getting all the votes! WHAT THE HELL, people?
4. I went to that meetup thing last weekend, which involved hanging out at the PSU Farmers Market. We did some shopping and then grabbed lunch and ate outside. It was nice. Only one other girl showed up to this event (and then there were three guys), but I already knew her from one of the bowling meetups earlier this year, and I like her. One of those things where you instantly get the vibe you could become friends with someone. There's going to be a big barbecue in a few weeks and about 30 or so people are apparently signed up to go, and I already know she'll be there along with the others I met that day. Plus both she and a couple of the guys there that day said they're also members of the hiking club I joined, and we talked about going to those together. I need someone to help motivate me to do the hiking, so I was excited about that. It's hard to get your fat ass on a five-mile hike with no one to keep you company, you know? (the hiking club regularly has 70+ people who attend each event, so while you might meet people doing it, it's not like some intimate group where everyone gets to know each other) So hopefully that pans out.
That's pretty much it for today. Although I will leave you all with this little adorable factoid: Jayden insists on watching So You Think You Can Dance with my sister every week, and knows when it's on and everything. Then tries to impersonate some of the dancing. Haha. He's done that for a long time though, so it's not new. But still so damn funny. I'll never forget him at three years old trying to break-dance. (picture that in your mind, people. Try to deal with the cuteness. YOU CAN'T.)
