Oh my God, the whistle! I forgot about that, but it made me laugh so hard.
I know what you mean, re: the girlfriend/boyfriend thing. It doesn't matter to me quite as much, but I can definitely understand what you're saying. I kind of shipped Donyelle and Benji after all, not gonna lie. Heh.
I think it'd be nice if they had at least one person who was out on the show itself though, since the straight actors do sometimes talk about their RL relationships, but more so because of the types of comments Nigel has made, re: always being super concerned about men not appearing effeminate, wanting the same-sex pairing last year to dance with girls, etc. It made me wonder if Nigel had put pressure on them NOT to be out, but maybe that's not fair. I think if Nigel hadn't made those types of comments, I would've just assumed the dancers were being vague completely of their own volition, which I'd totally understand.
Anyway, back to the point, I totally understand your perspective and think it's absolutely valid too. :-) I don't think I'd want to suddenly hear ALL about their personal lives either, and do like shipping the dancers sometimes as well.
Also, I'll try to tag my posts for you soon! I've been meaning to do that anyway.
