Unless. . .but no. It's not possible! A rewatch? No way. Too epic. Minds will explode. Fangirls will faint. Shippers & noromos will come to blows. THINK OF THE CHILDREN!

Hee. Not that I'm overdramatic about it or anything. Um, in other words, I'm ready to start this rewatch! I've got my notes all ready, and I'm ready to get my ramble on. In fact I'm actually writing my entry right now. But it's going to probably be a couple hours (seriously, two episodes of the X-Files + one Rachael = LOTS O' WORDS. Like, a WORD-A-PALOOZA, for reals) before it's posted (should be tonight, though), and in the meantime I felt like posting about a couple other quick things too:

1. In the BSG fandom, we debate important things, okay?

Case in point: treeofstars and I have been locked in a fight to the death since last night debating the following oh-so-crucial questions:

-Which is better: Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi? (Or Coke or Pepsi, whichever)
-Which would Adama & Roslin prefer? (fyi, we have since decided Adama would be a Pepsi man & Roslin would be a Coke girl--wait, that sounds wrong--and that they'd fight over it regularly)
-Did they, or did they not, frak on New Caprica?

Seriously, since like 10:30 last night folks. At this point, we clearly need an impartial outside party to help settle this once & for all. But I feel I must warn you, I maintain that the earthquake in L.A. today was God's punishment against her for disagreeing with me. So you guys had better choose wisely.

2. Somehow in the midst of that fascinating intellectual debate above, I also made time this weekend for a good deal of television watching (not just XF). And so I also wanted to comment a little on Southland & Modern Family.

Re: Southland. I am getting so into this damn show, I'm going to have to create a tag for it soon, I think. I FUCKING LOVE IT. This week's ep made me cry, trufax. It's cop drama-licious. And I'm actually really glad it didn't last on NBC, because it's totally one of those shows that's made for cable. Also, how good did the promo for next week look? Ahhh. Want it now!

Re: Modern Family. "IT'S GO TIME!" Hahaha! Oh, Cam. Thank you for giving me my subject heading today. This show is just so much hilarity-filled happyfaced times. I heart it so much.

3. I need someone to hook me up with some good Caprica screencaps for the Amanda/Clarice scene (you know the one) from 1X07 because I've been bitten by the icon bug. After talking with scifi_mel, I've decided I need an icon with them that says, "Cockblocked by God" (tm me, ha). Like, I need it in my life like yesterday. And yes, I do realize I am going to get struck by lightning for typing that sentence on Easter. Oh whatever, Jesus, you love it!

4. Speaking of Caprica, while hunting for screencaps that I wouldn't have to download to see (I just want to view them! Argh), I came across this deleted scene from that episode that made my entire day. Why wasn't this on the shoooooooow. WHY?

5. And lastly, lytab5, ye asked & ye shall receive. I found a fic for you today about Brennan reading her latest fanfic book to Angela: clicky clicky. Now, if only careyleah and I could get our hands on that fic we asked for to continue that final scene! (which I won't say anything more about here, because I don't want to spoil poor British crystalcazzie, hee)

Okay, and that's all for now because I need to get back to my XF entry. Which will probably take me the rest of the night. Lord help me. Heh. IT'S HARD BEING SO VERBOSE.

Sooo I like Coke best, but if I have to have a diet version of cola, I prefer Diet Pepsi. How's that for weird? But generally I stay away from the diet stuff because of the carcinogens.

It is seriously hilarious to me to be in the minority on this. When I watched the show, I never even for a second considered they frakked on NC. Then I came online and was like, "Why does all the fanfic have their first time happen on New Caprica?! I mean, I like it and all, but I want to read about when it really happened!" And then I started talking to people about it and was like, "ohhh, I'm one of, like, twenty people who believes the canon version." Ha.

I'm also go back and forth on the did they or didn't they issue, but today, I had to go with they did. It's soo hard because their are good arguments to believe either. No matter which camp I am in though, I always believe that something definitely did happen, because when they are lying together all drunk and high, and in TABFAYW when she is lying in his rack, those are very intimate moments. I'd have a lot of trouble believing that something, didn't happen, when they are clearly MUCH closer and comfortable together.

I don't go back & forth on the frakking (I don't believe they did), but I do know what you mean because I'm a little less sure on whether something less than that happened (even just a wandering hand while they lay under the stars). But I can still easily believe absolutely nothing beyond what we saw happened too, not even a wandering hand, with them still growing as intimate as they became in season 3. It just works for me. But I get what you mean too.

I was totally going to make the same post. We're coke twins! I drink regular coke, and wherever they only have Pepsi, I'll have diet Pepsi. I dislike the diet Coke and hate the regular Pepsi.

My opinion: there was definitely quite a lot of fooling around, but no actual frakking. Whenever I think of Bill and Laura on NC, I kinda think "teenager love". Making out for hours, running around giggling, feeling each other up in the corner of the party, playing coy, ya know, the works.

I keep going back and forth on the issue too. Sometimes it's just too heart-breaking to think they only got some when she was dying and bald and everything had fallen apart.

Gah, I even go back & forth on the "did they get frisky" though. At least I have my "they didn't frak" to feel sure of. I mean, I can buy they at least had a chaste kiss, that's no problem. Because they did in season 2. But whether they full-on made out? I just can't say. The thing I always think of is that moment in "A Day in the Life" when Adama is talking to Carol Anne in his mind & she brings up how maybe Roslin likes bad boys and he's like "she's the president of the twelve colonies." Which to me seems like one of those situations where one part of your brain is saying, "maybe they like you!" and the other's going, "it's not appropriate!" You'd think if they went past a chaste kiss, he'd KNOW she liked him, wouldn't you?

edited to add: does it make me an angst-whore that I kind of love the heartbreakingness though? Ha. I mean, I do get the desire to want to see them together when she's got her hair and all too. That's why I love NC fic and all. But there's something just so achingly wonderful about them getting together in s4 that I can't resist too.
