*g* Well, I only discovered LJ via fandom, so I use it for fannish stuff, and I'm keeping that apart from my RL mostly for professional reasons - I honestly don't need my colleagues to know about my fanfic, for example. However, I've generally never felt much inclination to share personal information with the whole net - it's also the reason why facebook creeps me out. Booth would probably say I'm private ;)
