Snowpocalypse Part Deux

I went for a two-hour walk in the snow yesterday (after a half-hour walk the day before -- the first real exercise I'd had in a long while), and this time I brought my camera. On a personal note, back in August of 2010 I told myself I'd at least keep living either until the end of the year or the first snowfall (if there was one), because I wanted to see what the trails would look like in the snow, and this marked me finally coming full circle on that.

Obligatory shot of how deep the snow was. In some places it was compacted from being walked on/driven on, but here you can see that it went above my ankles.

No one was at the playground, but I came across tons of people skiing through the woods. I also saw a group having a campfire by the river, one dude in snowshoes, a kid on a sled, and a little girl walking her confused cat on a leash. Heh.

(one of the aforementioned skiiers)

(this is where I made my promise to myself to keep living back in '10. It used to be my favorite spot to stop & watch the ducks & kayaks go by, because it was so secluded by trees; now they've cut the trees down, but my favorite branch to sit on is still there)
As for the weather now, it's finally starting to melt. I suppose that's a good thing, since it caused a lot of problems for drivers, and it was slushy & icy today, but it does make me a bit sad. It'll be back in the 50s by Wednesday though, so at least it won't be pointlessly cold.
P.S. I still want to talk about TV, but I've just had endless migraines lately, so I don't really feel up to it. But soon, I hope! I may just end up splitting my TV post into multiple entries to make it easier.
For my Vid of the Day, I'm going to share this brilliant comparison between The Walking Dead & the Toy Story movies. The show returns tonight, so it's perfect timing!
