My head hurts. And my ear won't stop popping! Make it stop! Hey, period? If you could like, gee I don't know, END, that would be great. Thanks.
My father thinks I am: I really don't know what my father thinks about me. He's called me smart before, though. As well as a "silly girl." (as in, nutty and goofy). And I bet high-strung/high maitenance, as he's implied it.
My mother thinks I am: On the positive side? Smart and talented, when it comes to academics and the arts. On the negative side, probably lazy and stubborn.
My sister thinks I am: Stubborn (ooh, a pattern), funny, and smart.
My brother thinks I am: The best sister evah! (seriously, that's what he says. *sniff*)
My grandma thinks I am: Huh. I don't know. Probably smart, but immature.
My grandpa thinks I am: He probably thought I was too sensitive, somewhat chicken and timid, probably smart but a long way from being as smart as him. I know though that Nanny said it meant a lot to him, when I took the bus across the city to visit him in the hospital after school once, when he was having dialysis (I was in High School, at the time), since no other grandchildren did on their own, and Nanny said it affected the way he saw me.
My girlfriend/boyfriend think(s) I am: A sex machine! Okay, okay, so I don't have one.
My best friend thinks I am: Da bomb diggety! I don't know. Heh. dosi said to me today she thinks of me as a best friend (cue fierce blushing here), and she's told me she thinks I'm strong and all sorts of other compliments I'd be embarassed to repeat. Heh.
Your three best qualities: I'm empathetic, meticulous, and resilient.
Your three worst qualities: Anxious, insecure, dependent
Three things you are often complimented for: The way I make things look/performance at work, how I smell, my clothes.
A compliment you got that made you blush: This guy who was a senior in High School when I was a sophomore told other people at my friend's party that I was "beautiful." He also said it about me again, in his senior will (and to another friend of mine). Also, one that stands out in my mind was what Mr. Kaad said about me, during our senior breakfast. The Ohana teachers gave out award-y type stuff, and said things to the students in front of the whole class. Mr. Kaad gave me the "Eye on the future" award, and put his arm around my shoulders, telling everyone about the exhibition I did on immigration the week before, and how "She was up there, spouting off all these dates and statistics, and this incredible amount of information, and I thought to myself: this should be boring. But it isn't. She makes it fascinating. And I told Rachael this before, and I'll say it again now, I hope she becomes a teacher, and I hope she comes back and teaches here." Excuse me, while I go cry now. . .hee.
You get embarrassed when: I do anything even remotely non-perfect/out of the ordinary in public. Or when I stand out in general.
What makes you happy: Laughter and love.
What upsets you: Me. The world. Everything.
Yes or NO....
You keep a diary: I have this LJ, don't I?
You like to cook: I wish I was good at cooking! I like to cook sometimes, when I'm cooking with a friend or something. Then it's fun. But, generally, I get very easily frustrated with it.
You have a secret you have not shared with anyone: Sure, doesn't everyone? Nothing big, though. I mean, it's not like I used to be a man or something.
You fold your underwear: Hee, yes. Sometimes. It depends.
You talk in your sleep: I've been told by friends and family that I'm quite the chatterbox in my sleep. Big surprise, right?
You set your watch a few minutes ahead: Sure do.
You bite your fingernails: If a nail is ripped and sort of coming off, I'll bite it. But not in general, though.
You believe in love: Well, yeah. That's an odd question.
Last...
x. movie you rented: Oh, dude, it's been a while. Probably "Wit."
x. movie you bought: Actually bought for myself, and not received as a gift? Damn, probably like "Angela's Ashes" on DVD, two or so years ago.
x. song you listened to: "Love Can't Hide", Faith Evans.
x. song that was stuck in your head: A combination of "Love Can't Hide," "Underneath Your Clothes" by Shakira, and "There She Goes" by Babyface.
x. song you've downloaded: A couple, both dedicated to Scully, on the X Files. One was called "Agent Scully", I think. They kicked ass.
x. CD you bought: "Aenima", Tool.
x. CD you listened to: "Faithfully," Faith Evans.
x. person you've called: My sister.
x. person that's called you: My sister.
x. TV show you've watched: The season finale of The Amazing Race.
x. person you were thinking of: My sister. Heh.
Do...
x. you wish you could live somewhere else: Sometimes. I mean, when it comes to living in a different city. It would be cool to live in New York, if only for a while. Just to say that I did, and experience it.
x. you think about suicide: Yes.
x. you believe in online dating: Like as a right/wrong issue? Depends on the people and the circumstances, like any relationship.
x. others find you attractive: Sigh. I don't know. Some guys give me long glances, and occasionally a guy will say something or flirt with me (I've been kissed twice, at least), but I have a hard time imagining a guy really crushing on me or wanting me. Unless he was settling, and couldn't get someone better.
x. you want more piercings: Sometimes I'd like to be able to wear earrings (on special occasions, for instance) but most of the time, nah. Seems like too much work for something I really don't care much about.
x. you want more tattoos: Nope.
x. you drink: Not regularly or anything, but sure.
x. you do drugs: I have, but don't do them regularly. I can count on one hand the number of times I've been stoned/tweeked.
x. you smoke: I've smoked pot once, (twice if you count the tiny bit I smoked, before that, which I don't really count), but other than that, no.
x. you like cleaning: Does anyone? Oh, wait, my Nanny. I forgot. Okay, sometimes I can make it nice, play music while I do it, whatever. And I get satisfaction out of turning a room from a disaster area into a haven of cleanliness, but it's not something I get excited over doing.
x. you like roller coasters: Some, but I'm really a pretty big chicken.
x. you write in cursive or print: A combo. Depends on my mood, and other stuff.
x. you carry a donor card: It says I'm a donor on my permit, but I don't have a card.
Have you...
x. ever cried over a boy/girl: A girl as a friend, yeah.
x. ever lied to someone: Yes, even Honest Abe over here has lied.
x. ever been in a fist fight: Hee, no.
x. ever been arrested: No, but I did get written up by a cop once for being out past curfew.
What...
x. shampoo do you use: I alternate. But it's some stuff from the salon.
x. cologne do you use: Victoria's Secret Divine perfume, but I'm out. So I've been using my Mom's "Heavenly" one.
x. shoes do you wear: Right now? My black, high heeled boots.
x. are you scared of: Lots.
Number...
x. of times I have been in love: I've had quite a few crushes in my day, and two times I crushed harder than ever before. But I don't know that I'd say I was in love. Hard to say.
x. of times I have had my heart broken: Non platonically? I was kind of crushed when I found out my Shitbuster lovah was engaged, and then when he got married. And the whole business with my friend in High School, who turned out to be gay. But I've never been in a real relationship, and broken up.
x. of hearts I have broken: I'd be surprised if I've broken any. I'm not proud of how I handled the whole thing with my first date though, or the guy I met on the bus last year, who kept calling me.
x. of boys I have kissed: Technically, non-family? Three. But two with tongue. The third was when both of us were drunk anyway, and I asked for a kiss, and got one. Heh.
x. of girls I have kissed: None. I mean, other than kissing my Nanny on the cheek, or whatever.
x. of people I consider my enemies: 0
x. of people from high school that I stayed in contact with: That I'm in contact with now? 0
x. of CDs that I own: Oh, man. A lot. I wrote them all down in my LJ once, so just go look if you're really that curious (I highly doubt anyone is).
x. of times my name has appeared in the newspaper: Twice, I think.
x. of things in my past that I regret: Way, way too many to possibly count.
My father thinks I am: I really don't know what my father thinks about me. He's called me smart before, though. As well as a "silly girl." (as in, nutty and goofy). And I bet high-strung/high maitenance, as he's implied it.
