rachg82I'm having a Volcano night, I guess. Chillin' in front of the TV, watching show after show. See, folks? TV ain't just for mindless violence and sex! It's also for learning!
Hee. Right now, I'm watching a show on volconologists, and can I just say that some of these people are fucking out of their minds? These guys all just hiked up to the top of Mt. Etna, facing blizzards and shit to get up there, and are all standing there as huge bursts of lava fly up in their faces. Um, how about NO. I'm all "Run! Run, damn you! Can't you see there's LAVA coming out of the ground in front of you! What are you doing?!"
Crazy, crazy people.
I can't blame them for wanting to visit these places, though, but I'd stay a little farther back. Heh. Like, I'll go to Iceland, but I don't plan on baking s'mores over lava flow. Speaking of Iceland, they just showed this awesome eruption there where there was lightning within it, I guess because of the heat meeting the cold in the atmosphere or something. That was great.
I can't believe the balls some of these people have, though. This one guy? Makes a living taking photos at Mt. Krakatau, in Indonesia. This is the place which had an eruption which had the equivilant power of twenty Mt. St. Helens eruptions. And this guy just chills out there, taking photos. Crazy, crazy, CRAZY. Heh.
In other news, I left a message on my Dad's machine earlier, about possibly exchanging gifts tomorrow, and none of them ever called me back! Hmph. Well. I guess I could call again now, but meh. I'm all weird about it now, like "I already called! I can't call again! I'll seem annoying!" I'll call tomorrow, I guess.
Oooh, and hey! Whoever it was who anonymously updated my paid LJ account? MWAH! Flove you.
