Hey, all. I'll post an entry about my weekend in a bit, but
miiiike distracted me with this juicy survey, so this is coming first.
Your Statistics:
-name: Rachael Marie [last name]
-what sex you are: female
-what gender you identify with: see above
-age: 21 on the 27th.
-where you live: Beaverton, Oregon
-height: 4'10 and 1/2
-weight: 98 lbs.
-hair color, length and texture: Blonde highlights, but with brown roots growing out. It's at my shoulders now (and, as to texture, I guess I'd just say thick). I need to make an appt. to have it done.
-eye color: Blue/green.
-nationality: French, Norwegian, and Irish are the biggies. Then little dashes of Scotland, Germany, Wales, and Cherokee (rumored).
-race: Cracker-ass cracker.
-where you work: Sears.
-where you go to school: PCC
-siblings’ names and ages: Corinne (24) and Kyle (12).
-parents’ names and ages: Pamela (46) and Kit (48).
-who you live with: My Mom and Stepdad.
-which do you live in (an apartment/flat, house, condo,
etc)?: A two-story house.
-how many piercings do you have and where are they?: I have none.
-how many tattoos do you have, where are they, and what are
they of?: None again.
-what is your sexual preference?: PENIS! Hee.
Your Morals/Philosophy:
-what is your opinion of the death penalty?: When it comes to serial killers and such, I admit I have a harder time saying "no" to it. But, in general, I don't believe it should be legal, definitely not at least until the justice system treats all our citizens fairly and equally (which is not the case, now).
-what is your opinion on abortion? are you pro-life or pro-choice?: Pro-choice.
-how do you feel about the legalization of drugs?: I am strongly pro-legalization. I'm more willing to concede on harder drugs, but I'm pretty set on believing pot should at least be legal.
-what is your opinion on pre-marital sex?: I don't see anything immoral about it. I don't believe it's a sin.
-what is your opinion of RU-486 and the morning-after pill? Should they be legalized and more readily available?: Yes.
-How concerned were you about Y2K back when it was a serious issue to many people?: Heh, not at all. I teased my Mom and sister so bad about it. And the whole "end of the world" thing, in general. My Mom was all "You're such a skeptic, Rachael!"
-Do you feel that Bush is a good president?: I don't think he's the Devil incarnate, but I don't think he's doing any great job. I mean, really, what has he done to help our economy? Or the schools? Or anything else he said he'd do? The only thing he's doing is trying to attack Iraq, when he has yet to provide sufficient proof that it's justified. I think if Sept. 11th hadn't happenned, history would not remember him as fondly, after his term. Kind of like how everyone seemed to hate Guiliani before it, but now he gets standing ovations.
-If you’re American, did you vote in the last presidential election? Who did you vote for?: I voted for Gore.
-Do you think that Martha Stewart should go to prison for her involvement in insider trading?: Honestly, I don't know enough about the case to give any kind of relevant opinion.
-What is your opinion of Howard Stern? How often do you listen to his radio show, if at all?: I don't listen to his show. I don't want to, either.
-Are you democrat/labour/liberal OR republican/tory/conservative?: I suppose I'd say independent, because I'm open to what politicians from both sides have to say, but can't say I'm one or the other completely, because both have so many faults I just don't want to associate myself with only one.
-How do you feel about Homosexuality? Are you homophobic, gung-ho queer rights or somewhere in between?: I feel there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. People say it isn't natural (that's what my Dad said, just today), and yet there are homosexual and bi animals in the wild. Then they say "they can't procreate", and I'm like "So fucking what? Does that mean sex should only be had when procreation is possible? I thought you weren't Catholic. Mary uses birth control, you know. What about a het couple that's incapable of having their own kids?" and my Dad says "That's not the point." Oh, really? What is the point then? Homophobics are just ignorant and irrational. What could possibly be wrong with someone being attracted to someone else, and loving someone else? Do we really NEED people to all like the same sex, and pop out dozens of babies? USE YOUR BRAIN, PEOPLE. Ugh.
-Do you believe homosexuals should be able to get legally married and receive the same benefits as heterosexual married couples receive?: YES.
-How do you feel about gays in the military? As boy scout leaders? As teachers? As church leaders?: Oh, the fucking RAGE! I get, when this subject comes up. There is no reason that gays should not be given equal treatment in all of the above. NONE. What the fuck does sexual orientation have to do with whether a man can shoot a gun? Honestly. I watched a wonderful documentary on gays in the military last night, that discussed their contribution in WWII in particular, and good Lord did it piss me off, because it's never acknowledged, you know?
-Would you say you are more racist or more open-minded about other peoples’ races and cultures?: The latter.
-Do you look down on forigners? (Are you a Xenophobe)?: No.
Entertainment Preferences:
-your favorite musicians: Ani DiFranco, Notorious B.I.G. Tupac, Jill Scott, Tori Amos, Bjork, Sarah McLachlan, etc. . .
-your favorite songs: Too many to name.
-If you have a CD book for the car, dorm, home, etc. what CDs are in it at the moment? If you don’t, what CDs/albums have you been listening to lately?: I've been listening to my new ones a lot lately, namely "Life After Death" by Biggie, and "Face2Face" by Babyface. I've also been listening to some older ones too, though, like Fiona Apple, Jill Scott, and Fleetwood Mac.
-What radio stations do you listen to? Do you listen to the radio much?: I listen to the radio every now and then, often when I'm changing or getting ready to go out. The station I listen to is 95.5, a hip hop and R&B station.
-Do you like or dislike talk radio? Do you ever listen to it?: I don't really dislike talk radio, when it comes to good issues, but whenever I come across one, I always seem to land on some extremist freak, or total moron, so I try to avoid them. I can listen to panelists and such on TV anyway; I turn on the radio for music.
-What are your favorite television channels/stations?: Comedy Central, The History Channel, Worldlink TV (a DirectTV non-profit channel, kind of like an international PBS), The Travel Channel, TLC, The Discovery Channel, CBS and NBC (and then the offsprings of the above mentioned channels, on satellite. Like History International, for instance.)
-What are your favorite television shows?: Monday night shows on CBS, Thursday shows on NBC (except for that new one that's on at 9:30; I've never even watched it), The X Files (duh), South Park, The Amazing Race, MTV Reality shows (when they're good, anyway), any documentary or nerdy "I'm gon' get my LEARN on!" type show, and anything stand-up. Ooh, and The Daily Show, SNL, and Conan. I watch too much TV. Heh.
-Do you watch much tv?: Um, like I said. But, hey, a lot of it is educational.
-Do you like to go to museums?: Doesn't every nerd?
-What kind of art do you like?: I'm pretty open-minded and eclectic. I will admit though, that I can be kind of snobby toward modern/abstract art. It bugs me when someone just throws a can of paint on a canvas and acts like they're an artistic genius.
-Who are your favorite artists?: Oh, man, I like a lot of stuff. I like a lot from the Romantic period, the Renaissance, and some of the Impressionists. I also like Eastern stuff, just in general (and yes, I know how general that is, hee).
-What are your favorite movies?: I love "When Harry Met Sally" and "Elizabeth." And, ugh, lots of other stuff. I don't know. I've seen Austin Powers 2 a thousand times, as well as "Happy Gilmore." Oh, and "Reality Bites." But I have tons of other faves.
-What is the last film you saw in a theater?: 8 Mile.
-Do you enjoy going to see plays/musicals or any other kind of live theater? Do you see theater productions often?: I do enjoy it. I went to a bunch of Shakespeare plays with my friend Amber in High School (my Grandma would get me season tickets, as gifts), but other than that the only things I've seen were "Miss Siagon," "Swing" (I'm pretty sure that's what it was called. I saw it with my family, last year), and "A Christmas Carol."
-What are your favorite plays, if any?: I really liked Miss Siagon. As for the Shakespeare ones, I'd say Merchant of Venice, As You Like It, and Twelfth Night.
-Do you like to read? How often do you read? Are you a fast reader?: I can be a fast reader, but it depends. How often also depends. Like, lately, I haven't been reading (offline, anyway, since I doubt fanfic really counts) as much. I go through phases; sometimes I'm all about reading, and then for a while I won't read at all.
-What sorts of books do you like to read?: Historical fiction, memoirs, etc. . .
-What are your favorite books?: "Angela's Ashes" and "'Tis" by Frank McCourt, "Blackbird and Still Waters" by Jennifer Lauck, "The Bluest Eye" by Toni Morrison, and--back when I was a kid--all of Scott O'Dell's stuff. Brings back memories! *sniff* Hee.
-Who are your favorite comedians?: Oh, no. I can't pick! I like lots, dude. If anyone really cares, I can go and list who I have on tape (as that would be a good indicator of who's on my fave list), but I'm too lazy right now.
-Do you like to play sports? Which are your favorites to play?: I'm more of a watching type, than a playing one. Unless of course you count Air Hockey.
-What are your favorite sports teams, if any?: Even though they always screw me over in the end, I'm still loyal to the Blazers. It's a love/hate relationship, though. I also like the Kings, mostly because I like Sacramento itself. Heh.
-What are your favorite sports to watch?: Basketball, boxing, gymnastics, figure skating, and most of the summer and winter olympics, actually.
-Do you enjoy exercising? How often do you exercise? What sort of exercise do you do?: Eh, I can enjoy it. I used to exercise a lot more. I haven't in a long time. When I would, I'd do free weights, aerobics tapes, and my Claudia Schiffer tapes (shut up. Heh.), which were for the abs and legs. I also took a weight training class, which I liked, but haven't gone to a gym otherwise like, oh wait, never. Hee.
-What are your favorite retail stores?: The Limited, The Gap, Old Navy, Nordstrom's, Meier and Frank's, Express and American Eagle Outfitters.
-Where do you buy your clothes?: See above.
-Do you enjoy shopping?: Yes indeedy. Except when I'm pressed for time and money, and having a hard time finding things that fit (which often happens when looking for shoes, for instance).
-Do you buy things online? Where?: Not really.
-Do you spend much time on the internet?: Heh, what do you think?
-What are your favorite websites?: meta, XF Fic 101, The Lost And Found Boards, Aardsy's site, LJ, etc. . .
Your Relationships
-Do you have a husband or wife? What’s their name? What are they like?: n/a
-Who’s your best friend? What’s their name?: *points shyly at
dosidella*
-Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend? What’s their name and describe them: Jimmy Fallon. Oh, wait. You mean in real life? I don't have one.
-Are you dating anyone? How’s the relationship going so far?: You don't listen very well, do you?
-If you’re single, do you enjoy or dislike being single?: I think there's benefits to being single, for me, like having my space and not having to deal with the complications and drama it can cause. But sometimes it sucks.
-If you’re sexually active, what’s your favorite position?: n/a
-Who are your closest friends?: All of you.
-Which friends do you hang out with the most?: In person? Right, that would be NONE. Heh. I mean, except for my sister, who's a friend. But that's different. But, I guess I could change "hang out" to "talk with the most", like on AIM and through emails, and that would be
dosidella (except for lately, since her computer is the bride of Satan),
goodfish,
willothewisps,
teleute12 and
raquelitah.
-Do you get along with your parents? Which do you get along with better?: It depends.
-Do you get along with your siblings? Which do you get along with best?: I get along with both. I've very grateful to have them.
-If you’re an only child, do you enjoy being an only child or do you wish you had siblings?: n/a
For Women:
-Have you ever had multiple orgasms?: As in one soon after another one? Yes. But I'm a virgin, so it wasn't during sex or whatever.
-Do you own any sex toys? What are they?: No, but me and my back massager are good friends. Hee.
-Do you like the size of your breasts? Do you wish they were bigger or smaller?: I think mine are somewhat proportional to my body, but I wish they were bigger. Not huge, but just not as small as they are now.
-Do you shave/trim your bikini line? Have you ever had a Brazilian wax?: During the summer, I'll trim and shave, but I've never waxed or gone the BBB route.
-How often do you shave your legs/underarms?: I shave my underarms every day usually, but I don't shave my legs generally unless I'm wearing shorts or whatever. Why would I? It's January, and no one but me is seeing them. Who cares?
-Do you shave anywhere else? Where?: Like I said, bikini line.
-Do you get bad cramps or PMS when you have you’re menstruating?: God, yes.
-Do you use tampons, pads or both?: Both.
-Do you know where your G Spot is?: I've never had sex, or used a dildo or whatever, so I don't think so. I mean, I think I'd know if I did. Heh.
For Men:
-Are you circumcised or uncircumcised?
-Do you wear boxers, briefs, thongs or boxer briefs?:
-Has anyone ever noticed you get an erection in a public place?:
-Do you go to strip clubs? How often?:
-How often do you jack off?:
-Has anyone ever kicked you in the nuts?:
-What’s the weirdest place you’ve urinated in public?:
Your Spirituality
-Do you believe in God?: Officially, yes. But sometimes I'm not so sure. I like to believe in Him, though. I struggle with my faith. Not because of things like "How could He let such and such happen to me?" though. Just because I sometimes have a hard time believing He exists, or believing in the afterlife, and other supernatural things.
-Are you religious? What religion/faith are you?: I suppose I'd say unitarian, like my Mom, which basically means I come from a Christian background, but I'm open to what other faiths have to offer.
-Are you a spiritual person?: I think so.
-What is your opinion of Christianity?: As I said, I look to all faiths for words of wisdom or enlightenment, but don't believe any one religion has it right, alone. I mean, I'm not saying "Hey, you're wrong", I'm just saying I think all faiths can lead to God. As Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita, "All paths lead to God." So I don't like it when one religion says you can't reach Him from other perspectives. Christianity has good things to offer people, but it can be--and has been--misinterpreted or twisted for purposes I don't agree with. Same goes for other world religions.
-What is your opinion of “cult” faiths (Mormons, Scientologists, Hare Krishnas, Moonies, Jehova’s Witnesses, etc.)?: Well, considering that I'm the type to look to all faiths and religions, and learn what I can from them (and learn about them just because I want to, even if I'm not going to necessarily agree), I'm not really the "cult type." Heh. I mean, if some guy was all "This is the one true faith", he wouldn't get a very positive reaction from me. The thing about cults that are dangerous though, isn't just that they think they're "right", or that they're extreme necessarily, it's that they isolate themselves from the community, and take over people's lives. They prey on people who need something to hold onto, and take advantage of them when they're weak.
-Do you support the idea of converting others to one’s faith?: I find nothing wrong with people wanting to exchange and share ideas, but I don't like it when people go around trying to "save heathens" by converting them to Christianity, and condemning other faiths.
-Do you believe in Heaven and Hell? Do you believe in any sort of afterlife?: I believe in Heaven, but not Hell. I basically believe we are reincarnated until we escape the cycle of death and rebirth (what's called samsara, in Hinduism) and are able to reunite with God. Nirvana, or moksha, in other words.
-Do you believe in angels and guardian angels?: I'm not really sure. I won't say it's not possible, but I won't say I believe in them either.
-Do you believe in Satan or some other sort of devil?: I believe evil exists in this world, but I don't believe there's some red dude with horns and a pitchfork hanging around in Hell, conspiring and shit. At the same time, who knows. I don't really believe in demons, but I believe the existence of evil spirits is possible. Take from that what you may.
-Do you believe in demons? Do you believe that Demons can take over a person’s body?: I like how this survey asks the same questions over and over.
-Do you believe that the eyes are the window to the soul?: Totally. Does anyone disagree with this?
Your Experience
-Have you ever done recreational drugs? Which ones have you done? Would you say you’re addicted?: I've smoked marijuana, and used ritalin a couple times. It was years ago, though.
-Do you drink alcohol? Do you think you have an alcohol problem?: I'll drink occasionally, but it's by no means something I do every Friday night. The potential of having a problem is in me, I think, but that's why I keep an eye on it.
-Do you have any mental/psychological problems? What are they?: I've been diagnosed with major depression, social anxiety disorder and generalized anxiety disorder.
-Do you take prescription medications? Which ones?: Effexor XR.
-Do you have any physical health problems? What are they?: Migraines, allergies, deviated septum (fucks with my breathing through the nose), and skin problems (eczema and psoriasis, although they're both doing really well right now).
-Are you sexually active?: Not with anyone but me, no. Hee.
-Has anyone close to you died? Who?: Yeah. Both Grandparents on my Dad's side died from cancer, Poppy (maternal Grandpa) died in March of 2001 from a heart attack, and a friend of mine from middle school died after getting hit by a car in the ninth grade.
-Have you ever attempted suicide or self-injured?: Unless you count sometimes pressing my nails into my skin, or picking at my skin or whatever, as SI, then no. I have hit myself, though.
-Have you ever had an eating disorder? (Anorexia, Bulimia, Obesity/over-eating, etc.): I think I skated somewhere around the edge for a while, but I was also really depressed then. I know at least some of my eating less was a control thing though, and I wanted to lose weight. But once the depression started getting better, so did the eating.
-Have you ever had plastic surgery? On what? If you haven’t had plastic surgery, would you like to?: No.
-Have you ever had any other sort of surgery? For what?: I had tubes put in my ears when I was two, and my adenoids were taken out when I was three. Then I had a minor procedure done at 13/14, to remove a tube that had lodged itself into my right ear drum (should've dissolved into the bloodstream; it's amazing no doctor ever noticed it before. Jackasses).
-Do you have any children? What are their names and ages?: n/a
-If you’ve had children, how was/were your pregnancy/ies?: n/a
-If you haven’t had children, would you like to? If you have children, would you like to have more?: I think I'd like to.
-If you’re married, how was your wedding?: n/a
-If you’re not married, would you like to marry one day?: Yeah, but only if I find the right person, which of course I hope to do.
-Do you like your current job?: It's all right, but I'm not especially thrilled with it.
-Do you like your current school?: Ditto.
-Have you ever won anything? What did you win?: My rich-ass uncle and his family get everyone lottery tickets every year, right? And, one year, I won fifty bucks. Ha! Take that, ya cheap bastards!
-Has anyone ever proposed to you?: Not even close.
-Do you have a car? What kind?: Let's not even discuss it.
-If you don’t have a car, how do you get around?: The bus, the max (light-rail), and rides from family and coworkers.
Random
-Do/did you watch American Idol? Who do/did you want to win?: I watched it once during the season, and then also saw the season finale. So I didn't really have a favorite.
-Do you like your first name? Your middle name?: Si.
-What’s your favorite color?: *looks at green sheets/pillowcases/duvet comforter, walls, rug, and clothes* Uh, I'd say green. Heh.
-What’s your favorite soda?: Diet Pepsi.
-Do you wear jewelry?: The only jewelry I wear is the gold watch I got for graduation, and a silver ring on my right pinkie.
-What’s your poison?: Does this just refer to drinking? I like margaritas and pina coladas. And other girly drinks that people roll their eyes at. Don't judge me for my love of wine coolers, man! Heh. Champagne's always good, too. I had Mike's Hard Lemonade at my sister's before, and I liked that, also. As for harder stuff, I can be kind of a wimp (I've usually mixed things before, rather than drink things straight), but I didn't mind Southern Comfort. I did make funny faces after chugging it, though. Hee. I thought I would with Tequila, too, but when I had it, I didn't even make The Face, really. Perhaps it was because I'd already had a couple margaritas at that point? Hmm.
-What’s your favorite theme park?: I love me some Disneyland, yo.
-Which countries have you been to?: Mexico. Oh, and America! Heh.
-Which states have you been to?: Uh, Oregon (no, really?), Washington, California, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Massachusetts (and maybe Maryland too or something? I don't know, I was four. I just know we also went to a nearby state, when we went to Boston).
-What’s the last good joke you heard?: I liked the ones
highhorse posted in her LJ.
-Any famous last words?: "IT'S NAKED TIME!" Hee. Or, hey, I like my Stepdad's motto in life: "Hope for the best, but plan for the worst."

What’s their name?: *points shyly at
![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
-Any famous last words?: "IT'S NAKED TIME!" Hee. Or, hey, I like my Stepdad's motto in life: "Hope for the best, but plan for the worst."
