rachg82Oh my God, SO bored. Where was everyone today? Seemed like there were less entries than usual. Don't you guys know you're obligated to entertain me? *indignant sigh* Hee.
War of the Coprophages is on TV right now. This episode still amuses me, even though I want to smack Mulder for the whole Bambi thing. Hanging up on my Scully. Hmph. Although I admit he makes me laugh, trying to get him some booty. Heh. Suddenly he's all Bug Lover, talking about science being "refreshing." Heh, whatever, Mulder. I love Scully in this episode, though. LOVE.
Speaking of TV, and shows that I love, I saw another episode of Punk'd tonight (I saw the Justin Timberlake one, the other night, too). That show is so fucking great. If I needed more reason to love Ashton Kutcher, I sure have it now. He cracks me UP, yo. Those pranks are insane. And made even more brilliant, by inflicting them on celebrities. Although the one I saw which just involved celebrities, but was being played on normal people, was funny too. My favorite part of the episode tonight was just Ashton's little speech on the double standard for nudity between men and women. Naked men are sexy too! Hahaha. I love him.
I'm going to lunch tomorrow, with my Mom and sister, and Nanny. Not really looking forward to it, since Corinne has been so cranky lately, every time I talk to her. And I have the feeling Nanny will inevitably bring up the war or whatever, and a debate will ensue. I don't like discussing controversial things with her, because she has to see it as an argument, and doesn't really listen to what you have to say. But oh well. Plus, Mom and Nanny usually bicker the whole time. And I can never, ever get a word in edgewise. Mom and Nanny will both repeatedly talk right over me, ignoring the fact that I'm speaking. Or actually raise their voice to be louder than mine, like that somehow makes their point better, because then I can't get mine out, and be heard.
The conversation will revolve around my Mom's weight, Mom's health, Corinne's pregnancy, Nanny and her health, food, and other things that have to do with Nanny and Mom. Well, it's not always like that, but often enough that's the case. We'll see how it goes, I guess. Tomorrow might be slightly different, just because I have class tomorrow night. So Mom will bring it up, and they'll start a conversation relating to what I "need to do." With my future, my major and my career, and all. If a conversation ever actually turns to me, that's pretty much always how it goes down. What I "need to do" to get a boyfriend, etc. . .
Yeah, annoying. But, hey, free food. Hee. It's okay, I love my family and all, but sometimes, well, I think you guys probably understand. Sometimes the things you're used to with your family, that normally don't bother you so much, irritate you. You know, like when you're on the rag. Heh. Like me, right now.
As for my class, I'm looking forward to it. Even though I am a little nervous, hoping one or both of the classes don't turn out to be surprisingly hard or something. I hope they're good, and I enjoy them. And I hope there aren't too many of those "I like to hear myself talk! My opinions are so great, and need to be heard! Even though I'm totally uninformed, and don't know shit! I'm gonna just keep talking, so I can sound smart, and waste class time by dominating the class discussion! Sounds like a plan!" students. It is a class on the middle east, after all. There's likely to be at least one or two of those people. *dramatic, put-upon sigh* Heh.
Sorry, I'm all for improving the class dynamic with diversity of viewpoints and all, and talking things out, but sometimes I get AWFULLY tired of listening to it. Especially when the person talking is ignorant. After years of debating about things with people, every now and then I just totally don't feel like even getting into it with people, and I just want them to shut up, and go read a book or something. Heh. And sometimes I just don't feel like I have the energy to try and get through to people, anymore. So I often remain silent, and try to stay out of the dialogue. But, most times, I can't fully resist. After a while, the hand just HAS to shoot up, so I can comment. Heh. Like, "Okay, that's enough. I can't take this anymore, I have to jump in."
Even if there are one or two of those people, though, I'm sure there'll be enough intelligent people there to make up for it. I just hope the class is engaging, and informative. And has good discussions, without too many class-time hogs, talking like they're experts on the middle east, because they watched CNN for two seconds. Like, I came to listen to the teacher, and not just you, fucko, so sit back and shut your hole.
And Mulder's cute. Hee. Yeah, I'm still watching the X Files, and felt the need to share that. I'm all about the random-ness.
Oh, man, they're playing Syzygy now. Hate him, hate him, wouldn't want to date him! Heh. This is another episode that made me want to throw down with Mulder.
