Damn, it's good to be a cylon

-Shower? Check. Just took one.
-First meal of the day? Check. Sort of. Ham & crackers counts, right? It's a start. (3 cookies too!)
-ACA meeting? Not yet. However, I'm not going to beat myself up for this, as I got out of bed today in the actual A.M. (as in, before noon. WTF), which was already quite the feat, but not enough to get me to my meeting on time with a shower & with a meal and not exhausted and bla bla bla unimportant details re: bus stuff, a.k.a. this is why other people drive.
Nevertheless, I do plan to go on Monday night. In exchange, I will go to the grocery store tonight instead (switching my calendar--I can be flexible when I want. No, really). Unless I go to an Al-Anon meeting tomorrow, but I doubt I'll do that. It'd be way less convenient, scheduling-wise, and I prefer the Adult Children meetings anyway. For normal weeks, I think going to meetings on Saturdays is still the way I'll go, but at least at first, I'm not going to make a big deal out of switching things around. I have to give myself time to adjust to getting up earlier than 2, 3, or 4 in the dang afternoon. (not even kidding here. That's how nocturnal I've gotten)
It's okay if resolutions aren't successful 100% right? As long as it's the thought that counts? And you keep trying, overall? It doesn't make you flaky? I'm definitely not trying to be, anyway. It's just hard to correctly plan things sometimes when you're trying to juggle so many balls at once.
(P.S. I wish I could actually juggle)
(P.P.S. Heh, "balls"<--oh yes, I don't care how depressed my brain gets. I still keep my sense of pervy humor)
In other news: I am officially ready to start another Bones fic. But for real this time. I think. (heh) We'll see at least. Assuming my muse doesn't leave me, I will try to start it after the grocery store trip tonight. I'd like to be done with it before this next week's episode, if I can manage to not make it another ginormously long one again (damn my verbosity! I so envy normal people & their 100 word whatchamacallits).
I had thought my next fic would be cracky, but apparently my head disagrees. I don't think it will be. Sorry, guys. Season 6, what can I say? It's not cracky. Unless it somehow veers in that direction. I guess we'll find out. Salt 'n Pepa came out of nowhere last time, after all. Hee.
In other, other news: Today is National BSG Appreciation Day. You may not have known this, but you do now. I sort of just made it up, so it makes sense you only just found out. It kinda works like this: first, you go on YouTube, watch a bunch of fanvids, get reminded why you loved the show, remember how beautiful & layered & angsty & awesome the characters & plotlines & soundtracks & directing were, and then you come here & shout in all caps, "WHY SO AMAZING, SHOW? WHY? I NEED TO KNOW." Like it's a personal affront to you. Like its brilliance causes you actual pain & suffering, like you've got a fangirl fever, and the only cure. . .is more cowbell. Ha.
Or, you know, maybe not. I guess we all deal with our flail differently.
(I swear, thank Jesus for television. How else would I distract myself during hard times & find reasons to make myself laugh for ridiculous reasons? It really is what keeps me going. Oh, hyperbole. I love you most of all.)

Starbuck kicks ass (as per usual), and there's hot men being hot, and out-of-context clips, and Jamie Bamber's British accent, and giggly!Roslin, and damn it's good to be a cylon, and just. . .yeah.
