Announcement to all Bones fans: get thee over to this post, immediately. It is full of gifs & vids & cracky celebration.

This is what happens when you let XF fans take over. You're welcome.

P.S. That reminds me: MARCH MADNESS. Next month! OMG, can't wait. Is it wrong that part of me hopes I'm still FUNemployed by then, just so I can take the entire week to sit at home & campaign like a crazy person? Ha.

Remember moments like these?

Or those that followed like these? HA. Memmmmorieeeeees! Like the corners of my mind!

We should totally do that Fandom Fest of Conversion this year. I think we could all use another rumble.

I did March Madness last year. The Lorelai/Brennan round was so fucking intense. Someone said "At least when Lorelai sung karaoke no one got shot!" LMAO. It was fun and hilarious.

The Sheldon/Brennan round had a whole bunch of cheating on both sides. It was almost Buffy/Brennan for the final round! Boo. I don't think the Bones fandom is going to be competing as hard as they did last year. It was a lot happier last year than this year...

I remember--that round is how we met! Hee. Lorelai's my girl, but I was fightin' hard for my Brennan. I loved your campaigning & friended you. It was one of those, "Nice job punching me in the face, there. I like your style. Wanna be pals?"-situations. Haha. (that shit WAS intense. ~SO MANY GIFS~. Hee) I made SO many good friends out of that round though & the Scully vs. Donna one. The Dr. Who/XF fans turned into such an utter cracky love fest by the end, ha. "I love you!" "I love you more!" Then we all played double-dutch.

Didn't it end up being Buffy vs. Sheldon in the end? I remember Buffy won of course (ya damn right), but I can't remember who she went up against anymore.

I don't think the Bones fandom is going to be competing as hard as they did last year. It was a lot happier last year than this year

Perhaps that will leave room for a new fandom to take over? Of course even my beloved BSG fandom got a bit frowney over the last year too. I just want to see people use FMM as an excuse to get cheerfully fighty/cracky, at the very least. Ah well. It'd be great if Scully won this year! Either way, I just like seeing how buckwild people go over it. It's fun.

Yeah it was a lot of fun! I forgot that's how we met. LOL.

The final round was Buffy versus Sheldon and he got utterly destroyed. Not surprising though. I might still compete and look to see who's winning but probably not compete as hard as I did last year.

Some people got way competitive and butthurt last year. Good luck to Scully this year! I meant to watch more sci-fi shows before this years tournament but I didn't.

I remember wank over Dean, ha. I very nearly got butthurt over a few comments towards Brennan, but I simmered down. If she goes up against anyone this year, I might stay away for the sake of my own sanity, only because of how sensitive I've been lately--unless I hear the coast is clear.

Otherwise though, I'm all in.

Girl, you need to freakin' watch XF already.

LOL. I was campaigning against Dean because he's overrated as fuck. I don't even watch SPN and I just know it. Sometimes I get really bitchy which is why I don't want to take it too seriously this year. LOL

Yes, I do need to watch the XF but it looks so scary! LMAO.

You best believe I campaigned my little ass off against Dean too:

Ha.

Sometimes I get really bitchy

…which is why we're Brain Twins. Hee.

Why do I have the feeling if we ever got together to make a blog reviewing TV shows that it would end up with us doing nothing but snarking & snapping our fingers around like this?

Okay, so only one of us is even half-gay, and only one is black, and neither of us are male, but still. YOU KNOW I'M RIGHT. We're very opinionated. Hee.

Yes, I do need to watch the XF but it looks so scary!

Everyone says this! Haha. It's not really scary! At least not to me. Only a few episodes are truly that creepy, I promise.

LOL. That poster is mad of win. I hate that Dean!

We should totally right a blog about TV shows. If only I knew how to get started. LOL. That clip was hilariois!

I will definitely try and watch the X files ASAP then. I don't really have an excuse since the whole show is streaming on netflix.

The Fandom Fest of Conversion was going to take place before the summer, involving everyone wildly campaigning to convert everyone over to their various favorite shows. There would be a poll where you'd select the top 3 shows you felt most converted to watch. At the end of the event, EVERYONE would agree to watch the top 3 shows that got the most votes from everyone.

Of course people could still watch other shows if they wanted as well. But the point is that everyone would definitely watch those three shows for sure. And many new friends would inevitably be made in the process. I wanted to do this last year, but I just got derailed by RL. Hopefully we can make it happen in 2011.

especially the shipper showdown part

You were a woman on a mission! You got me to pull a Brutus!

Ah, the good old days, when Monday morning habitually consisted of gathering on the internet and planning various road trips to kidnap/torture/firebomb Chris Carter.

Since 1996, foo'! Discovered the show when I was 14, during the summer between the 3rd & 4th seasons. Used "Home" to introduce it to my best friend. She thought I was crazy & deranged…then proceeded to become obsessed as well.

I used to stay up until the wee hours of the night, reading novel-length fanfic. "Oh, what's this? NC-17? And I'm 15? IGNORING."

Hee! I watched from the very start.. which was probably only a year or so before you in fact as I am in the UK and had to wait (in those days) for it to be shown on BBC2!

I didn't discover the online world of fanfic and stuff that time around, as I was busy with uni.. and the web hadn't really caught up with me. I can imagine I'd have failed my degree if I had *g*

LOL the lure of smut. Sooooo good bad *g*

Oh, man. Online fandom in the '90s was b-a-n-a-n-a-s. It's a miracle I managed to sleep & still graduate high school. Ha.

I wouldn't have given it up for anything, though. We're the ones who coined terms like "shipper" and "UST" in the first place! We get to lord that over other online fandoms for all time, like trekkies do "slash." Heh. It's like having the cool table in the lunch room.

That is just the coolest thing ever - I remember when I first realised that my first real proper fandom coined these phrases.. SO PROUD (not even joking).

Well M&S will always be the undisputed King and Queen of UST. Only fitting *g*

You know we started the advent of disclaimers in fanfic too, right? I remember when FOX was sending cease & desist letters to dinky little websites for nothing more than a bunch of mere .wav files & slow-downloading pics. Everyone was scared they were going to come after the broke-ass authors too, haha. "Dear Fox: I don't own Mulder & Scully. I wish I did. Please don't sue."

I miss those old websites, dude. The cheesy, spinning Xs! The obsession! At least there's still the The Scully Worshippers (http://www.obsse.com/) & Autumn's Reviews (http://syndicateconsortium.com/sites/autumntysko/index.html). I'm just eternally sad that the Witches' of X Badfic Archive has disappeared. *pours one for her homies* Not to mention cracked out shit like entire sites dedicated to Mulder's glasses & speedo. Or the noromo comics! Ha.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR MARCH MADNESS!

I have the first week of March off work, leaving me free to campaign like crazy! *rubs hands in glee*

I do need to get me some pics and macros though. I am sorely lacking in actual campaign material. (I also need to catch up on my episode watching since I assume there will be spoilers aplenty!)

I figure I'll wait until I know who's up against whom before I start making my macros. Then go all out, kung-fu style.
