rachg82I finally gave in & watched the Bones finale tonight. Well, up until the scene where Bones tells Angela & Cam of her proposal, that is. That's as far as I could stand to watch. To be honest, I didn't even really enjoy that scene, or the proposal scene for that matter (one reason: I really didn't like the "I've been stubborn" remark. I'd been hoping they'd give her some Brennan-ish, practical reasons to propose--tax credits, anthropological significance, etc--on top of emotions, but instead they only invalidated her previous position as if it had been "wrong". Way to go again, show). My heart's just not in it enough to ignore these sorts of things anymore. I think that makes it pretty clear that it's the right time to stop watching. To be clear, I'll always love the first two seasons, always like the first five, and be grateful to the sixth for getting me to write fic -- but that's enough.
On a more lighthearted note, I submit the following observations of striking similarity:
Seriously, I had the Inspector Gadget theme song stuck in my head THE WHOLE TIME.
And:
Promise me you'll let me know if Pelant starts flipping a coin around for no reason next season, okay?
