rachg82Mini-Corinne is about 13/14 weeks along, now (roughly). Last night, I looked up information about the baby's growth at that stage, and it's so amazing. This one site had great info about the changes that occur every week. It's crazy how much changes in just a week.
thirteen weeks, and fourteen weeks. Specifically, this is the stuff that made me go squeeee!:
(for 13 wks) "And when you poke your stomach gently and she feels it, your baby will start rooting — that is, act as if she's searching for a nipple."
(for 14 wks) "About now, the fetus can grasp, squint, frown, and grimace. It may even be able to suck its thumb."
It's only like 3/4 inches long (head to booty), and it's all making faces and sucking its thumb! For goodness' sake! *squeals*
Ahem. Hee. My sister went to the doctor and got a free ultrasound today, too. (free, because I guess the machine was there anyway, and the doc offered) She was saying it was insane, because she could see it so clearly. You can see little kneecaps and everything. Aww! Heh, okay, you know you're losing it, when you're all "aww"-ing over kneecaps.
I guess when she sees the doctor in about a month, they'll probably be able to find out the gender. Whoo! Obviously, all of us will be equally happy with either a boy or a girl, but we're all just dying to know anyway. I'm kind of hoping it's a girl now, though. If anything, so she can have my middle name. Hee. Because it's all about me! Well, that and you can dress girls up and stuff! It'll be so much fun. That kid is going to have one devoted little auntie. Cheeks are getting pinched, people! Hee. Okay, no. But I will ooh and ahh over her to the point of being completely obnoxious.
Completely changing subjects, I had THE WEIRDEST dreams last night. No, really. There was a black, gay dude dressed up as C-3PO (he'd taken part of his costume off), all cuddling with this other guy, who was also dressed up. Yeah, I have no idea. Heh. I also got kidnapped by this chick, who was completely insane. She kept cutting me with a knife! And trying to make me throw up, for some reason. That was a bad dream. In the other part, I was at the store with everyone, and Joe was being all Big Bad Joe (read: bossy), and I got all mad at him in front of all these people. Heh. Like, yelling over ice cream, and storming out. Interesting.
