Treat! Yo'! Self!

I'm sleepy & have already been on my computer for too long (blame Text Twist & the neverending about-to-end fic of doom), so this entry will be quick:
-Psych:
First off, no one told me Sister Clarice was going to pop up! I got all excited. Heh. (PLUS: I totally watched a rerun yesterday where Shawn & Gus went shark-hunting with Saul Tigh. WHAT.)
Secondly, Lassie, ILU. So much. Never change.
Third, "your son is in real danger of becoming an a-hole." Ha! LOVE.
Fourth, WHAT THE EFF with all the product placement? Seriously. It was horrible.
Finally, way to be James Bond, Shawn. With your bad-ass. Feel free to go get yourself a tall glass of Juliet later on-- shaken, not stirred. (thaaat didn't even make sense, hee)
Overall -- good times. I just wish Sprite Zero, Mac, and the army of Prius environmobiles would get the hell off my tv shows. (Not that I wouldn't want a hybrid in real life, but UGH. With the advertising. I'm like waiting for product placement to become A Thing in your subconscious when you sleep. It'll probably be sponsored by Google & Facebook.)
P.S. OH, I almost forgot. Amongst the other reruns I watched this week, they played a couple of the Yin/Yang eps. I still haven't seen the beginning of that arc, but I looove the rest of it. Amazeballs.
-Community:
I'm just gonna say it: this week's episode kinda sucked. I am completely weirded out at this point by all the Jeff/Annie stuff this season, Britta keeps making me WTF *eyebrow* all over the place, and I just don't even know what they're aiming for right now. The first ep back made me laugh, so I was down with that one, but since? Ehh…yeah. No. It's been such a sudden shift (for me) that I keep wondering if they're going to pull something amazing out of their hat & be all, "Haha, gotcha. This is what's up." But I don't know.
For most of the first two seasons, they managed (imo) to toe this delicate balance of absurdly brilliant yet oddly relatable meta storytelling, but it's almost like they're trying too hard now. Or intentionally taking it too far, I'm not sure. But I hope it gets fixed quickly, because it's making me cringe more than laugh. And I don't want to cringe at Community! I love Community.
-Parks & Rec:
TREAT. YO'. SELF. That's all I have to say.
…that's not really all I have to say.
Other things: DONNA + TOM = BFFS 4EVA. PUPPY PARTY. BATMAN CRYING. I CAN'T.
Okay, now I'm done. Don't mind me, I'll just be over here, hugging that entire episode. SO DELIGHTFUL.
-I feel like I have more things to say, but again with the sleepyness. I had an appointment with my counselor today, which I'll probably talk more about later. For now, I'll leave y'all with a Vid of the Day. This one's by Jarisafia:

Third, I actually loved this week's Community. I don't like the show anymore, so my expectations are low. Jeff/Annie -- meh, whatever. But the whole conceit/premise of this week's episode was awesome. I am totally going to watch it again.

Date: 2011-10-15 10:06 pm (UTC)There were parts of this week's Community that I liked, don't get me wrong. I just thought it was kind of clumsily delivered. The evil goutees were awesome, though. Hee.
